Health and Wellbeing

Three key messages underpin Health & Wellbeing – Be Healthy & Safe … Be Active … Be in Community.

Active Kids are Healthy Kids!  Our school promotes a range of active programs for our students:

  • Physical Education Program
  • PE Specialist for Prep – Year 6
  • Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) for Prep – Year 1
  • Interschool Sport
  • Active Kids Program (outside school hours)
  • Active School Travel involvement

At St Joseph's we believe wellbeing is an ongoing experience of wholeness and hope integral to learning, overall health and life success.  Our school Wellbeing Framework articulates our beliefs about wellbeing for the students in our school family.  We believe wellbeing encompasses nurturing the self, giving to others and building and celebrating community.

Our students will:

  • be actively connected to their learning, have positive and respectful relationships and experience a sense of belonging to their school and community.
  • be respected, valued, encouraged, supported and empowered to succeed.
  • grow and flourish, do well and thrive.
